Area, alongside Sam Kopsch Studio, will be competing against the best property professionals across the UK regions to be recognised in the Office Interior, London category for their work on Office Space in Town’s Blackfriars’ serviced office development at 22 Tudor Street.
The refurbishment of the 37,500 sq ft building provides a professional, high-quality setting that boosts productivity and wellness of Office Space in Town’s staff and clients alike. The facilities include cellular offices, meeting rooms, client lounges, breakout spaces and communal kitchen areas, as well as wellness features such as a gym studio, cycle storage and shower facilities. The client envisaged a unique design style based on the concept of ‘happiness’.
Area will also be competing in the Office Interior, West Midlands category for the successful office design and delivery of leading law firm Mills & Reeve’s workplace project on Colmore Row in Birmingham. The offices underwent a 30-week refurbishment to improve the client experience and create a better working environment for all end-users by way of flexible spaces, allowing people to get together to collaborate and socialise.
The UK Property Awards are the most acclaimed industry awards throughout the region. This achievement is recognised as a mark of excellence for property professionals.
Gary Chandler, CEO of Area and the wider Fourfront Group, comments: “We’re absolutely ecstatic that we have been recognised in not one but two categories at this year’s UK Property Awards. Our success is built on the passion and dedication of every Area team member, as well as the relationships we share with our clients; it’s shared recognition like this which makes me proud to lead this business.
On behalf of the entire Area team, it’s been a real pleasure to work with the teams at Office Space in Town and Mills & Reeve, and we’re looking forward to celebrating the hard work that has gone into both projects at the awards ceremony.”
The UK Property Awards are judged by an independent panel of over 80 industry experts. Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability.
