Area, the workplace fit-out specialists within the Fourfront Group, has begun work on the £1.6m refurbishment of 1 Dorset Street, Southampton on behalf of RO Real Estate.
The team will deliver a full Cat A refurbishment to the vacant floors & common areas, a new entrance as well as provision of a new shower block, cycle facilities and remodelling of the surrounding landscaping & car park.
Working with RO Real Estate, Area has created a contemporary environment, repositioning 1 Dorset Street as a sought-after commercial destination close to Southampton city centre. RO Real Estate are keen to introduce sustainability and WELL building standards across their portfolio and so this was a key aspect of the design solution. The finished project will feature an improved EPC rating and Fitwell two-star rating.
