Area, as part of parent company Fourfront Group, have passed their annual ISO audit and have been recertified with both ISO 45001 (formerly OHSAS 18001), and ISO 14001 accreditations with zero non-conformances.

ISO 45001 specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, and gives guidance for its use, to enable organizations to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance.

ISO 14001 is a family of standards related to environmental management that exists to help organizations minimize how their operations negatively affect the environment; comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements; and continually improve in the above.

Area’s ISO accreditations follows the news they have achieved The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) Gold certification for the third consecutive year as well as achieving the Achilles Building Confidence accreditation for the fifth consecutive year, with zero observations or non-conformances. Area are also ISO 9001 accredited for quality and ISO 37001 for anti bribery and corruption compliance.

James Cornwell, Co-Founder of Area, comments: “We take our approach to health and safety across our sites and offices, as well as our impact on the environment, very seriously. We’re proud to say that we have held ISO 45001certification for more than five years, and ISO 14001 for over ten years.

“Upholding high health and safety standards has been more important than ever throughout this pandemic. Our team have worked tirelessly to put additional systems and processes in place to ensure everyone remains safe and well, and we were delighted to have been applauded for our COVID-19 procedures by the examiner.”
