When this global investment-management firm relocated to a larger office space in London’s Heron Tower, it had various apparently conflicting goals. Partners Group wanted to impress visitors with the building’s striking views while retaining privacy for its employees within a new open-plan layout. Above all, the client was looking for a stunning finish while adhering to the Group’s corporate guidelines on design and sustainability.
The open-plan office design is based around the atrium space to optimise natural light and create visual impact from the reception area. To retain staff privacy, a glass screen highlights the inspiring views. The stipulated monochrome corporate colour-palette helps to ensure a contemporary feel. However, accent colours are introduced by judicious choices of designer furniture by our sister company, Sketch Studios.
"A key element in this project was our excellent working relationship with the building management team at Heron Tower which has been developed over multiple office design and fit-out projects which we have delivered there. The selection of high quality materials, finishes and furniture have created a striking office in a striking landmark building."
Managing Director, Area London
The subtle combination of high-spec finishes, including walnut flooring and a Corian countertop in the breakout area, subtly hint at luxury with being overtly opulent. The design incorporates some of the client’s existing furniture plus other recycled materials to meet the environmental stipulations of its corporate brief.
