Hanover Investors is a London-based investment company that invests in public and private companies. The company wished to relocate to a larger office following the Company’s growth, with a more welcoming aesthetic and modern working environment.
Area was tasked with the cat B fit-out of the new space in Savile Row. The design was to be contemporary and open plan, with better breakout facilities, eye-catching features and a pleasant ambience. The overall concept was to be based on an art gallery with lots of light and artwork to be the main focus.
The client was drawn to Area’s concept design from the start. Weekly site meetings with technical designers, contract managers and other project staff ensured the finished result met the client’s expectations.
The spacious, light-filled reception with its elegant marble desk sets the tone for a truly welcoming space. Organic curves combine with natural finishes and cosy breakout corners to create a calming, homely effect. The open-plan working areas are complemented by diverse meeting rooms and facilities allowing for different ways of working.
Stand-out features include two beautiful fish tanks, figurative and abstract artworks, stylish boardroom with stunning marble table, and a roof terrace area with huge glass windows allowing daylight to flood through.
The private dining and tea-point on the sixth floor was central to the brief. Designed for style and ease, the classy spiral staircase and warm wood finishes are reminiscent of an art gallery – the ideal place for people to meet, relax and chat.
"The features and finishes really make this project. The artwork is brilliant and the fish tank is amazing, although the structural elements needed to support it were a challenge. The spiral staircase also stands out – it’s classy and contributes a really nice feel".
